Have a long time I didn’t write some articles or some journey notes in this one blog, it because I was so lazy, or one of the reason is this blog didn’t give me money hehe.. so I spent my time to do someting gave me income. And now I start writting here again. Actually this note is not about my experience which I will share to you. I just happy to write something in my life and this blog is the right place to funnel my hoby. I think these ecek-ecek experiences is not suitable to write and reputed as good experiences.
When I was a student in State Islamic University of Sunan Ampel Surabaya, I actively follow LPM, LPM is a campus press organization. I join when I was Maba (Mahasiswa baru). Actually I follow that organization because I like writting and I aware that my spirit in writting is fluctuative (sometimes go up and sometimes go down). So I think that I must join to a community can creat my spirit stable. And LPM Arrisalah is the rihgt choise for me.
Arrisalah is one of the LPM’s wich joined in PPMI. PPMI is Indonesian student press association. That organization has a branches in almost every provinces and districts in Indonesia. When I was in sixth semester, as a general manager of Arrisalah I got a notification from general secretary of PPMI Surabaya, she told me that in the next month there is an important event to attend. That event is in Bali. So she asked me to meet up in one of the KFC in Surabaya to talk about the agenda. And the result is we agreed to go together.
Previously I try to meet Vice Dekan II to talk about that event, maybe campus can give us an accommodation or transport funding. But, they told me that campus can’t. Actually I was not disappointed, because I didn’t expect too much. So we have to do B plann. We still must attend that event with the money we have. The effective way is backpacker. Actually I like travel and prefer to travel whit motorcycle, usually I do those with my classmates in my campus. I went to almost all of the vacation places in east Java. It when my motocycle was Vixion. Therefore I was so comportable to go to the far places. I also like travel with backpacker, because it give me so many experiences. I can know and meet with so many people and cultures.
I ordered my partners in Arrisalah, then there are 5 people whom want to follow. And I accepted a notification that there are some students from another campus in Surabaya will attend too. But we can’t go together. Because that event is in vacation, and so many people want to go back to their home. We are late to book the train tickets. So we just go with our team.
In my team I go with my Arrisalah partners, we go from Wonokromo station about 14.30 o’clock, but we have a problem. One of my partner was late and missed the train, and it was imposible to book a ticket for the next train. So we just four people. We arrived about 19.00 o’clock in the east point of station of java Island. Then we directly walk to the Gilimanuk harbor. It's just about 400 M from station. There, we waited so long for some friends while was thinking about how we can continue our journey from Bali Harbor to Denpasar, wheter we will directly ride a bus from that harbor or from Bali Harbor to Denpasar. Because we heared that in Bali harbor so many robbers. After discussed it, we decided to ride a bus from Bali Harbor to Denpasar terminal.
Crossing from Gilimanuk to Bali is just about 40 minutes. We enjoyed our sea journey. After we arrived to Bali harbor we start affraid, because it was about 23.30 o’clock there. But we just go straight to Harbor terminal. And in the fact, there is nothing happen. Some officials ask us to show our Identity card. It’s an obligation when we will go or enter to Bali from harbor trip, we must bring our identity card. The official can prevent us for entering Bali, if we didn’t bring it.
From harbor terminal of Bali to Denpasar is about 3 hours. I just sleep along the trip. We arrived in Denpasar terminal about 05.00. We was taking a rest in a praying place there while waiting some friends,. Some of us continued to sleep again. At 07.00 we try to contact the microlet driver was orderd by committee to bring us to the event place.
